The Get Millie Black series was created and produced by the novelist Marlon James, winner of the Booker Prize. The official synopsis states: "Millie-Jean Black, a former Scotland Yard detective, returns to Kingston, Jamaica, to take on missing persons cases. She soon finds herself on a quest to save a brother who doesn't want to be saved, to find a child who can't be found, but also to solve a case that will turn her life upside down."
