Nintendo has already confirmed that the console that will succeed the Switch will be released before April 2025, so it is with an open mind that we welcome the latest rumor from the Famiboard forums as well as the Chinese social network Weibo: the machine will be launched in March 2025.
Switch 2 with magnetic Joy-Cons controller££££
The same sources also indicate that this Switch 2 will be announced in January 2025, just to whet appetites. Otherwise, as a reminder of the latest indiscretions, the console will offer a similar shape to the current Switch, the controllers taking up the removable principle of the Joy-Cons but with a magnetic attachment system, and no longer mechanical.
Switch 2 100% compatible with the original Switch££££
Nintendo has also confirmed that the machine will be backward compatible, namely that it will accept games from the current Switch, and that the Nintendo Switch Online service will continue on the new machine, subscribers being able to use their current account.
