Mark Gurman of Bloomberg recently revealed new details on the Apple Smart Home device that has been making the rounds in rumors for a while: a connected screen to be placed at home, and in several places if possible.
Apple would be making something new out of something old?££££
According to the journalist specializing in Apple's behind-the-scenes, the device would adopt the design of another Apple product released more than 20 years ago, the iMac G4 (photo at the top of the article). To summarize, the screen is fixed at the end of a movable axis, itself attached to a hemispherical base. We also learn that the screen will not be very large, with a size similar to that of two iPhones placed side by side. A way of keeping the price low enough for the user to install several in their home, to control the connected objects of the home.
A18 chip on the menu to support Apple Intelligence features££££
The device would be equipped with the A18 chip, the same as the latest iPhone, to support Apple Intelligence features, and would run applications such as FaceTime, Calendar, Notes or Home. Also worth noting, a Slideshow function to view photos and videos, and perhaps even the integration of speakers at the base to play music like HomePod.
