In just two minutes, the filmmaker succeeds in creating a permanent tension, a credible post-apocalyptic atmosphere and delivering some already very striking shots. All the codes of the zombie film are there with the director's immediately recognizable touch: care of the frame once again, of the photo (we are clearly not in a standard series), offbeat sound choices.

The official synopsis states: "It has been almost three decades since the rabies virus escaped from a biological weapons laboratory, and today, still in a mercilessly enforced quarantine, some have found a way to survive among the infected. One of these groups of survivors lives on a small island connected to the continent by a single, heavily defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island for a mission to the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but also other survivors."
Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O'Connell and Erin Kellyman star in the $75 million film written by Alex Garland. It was reportedly shot on an iPhone 15 by Danny Boyle's regular cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle. If true, it's mind-blowing! 28 Years Later will hit theaters this June.
