A start of an answer was first provided by the site The Information, which announced a thickness between 5 mm and 6 millimeters. But Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently gave more details, reporting that the device would be 2mm thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro, or after a quick calculation about 6.25mm for the iPhone Air.

Knowing that the thinnest iPhone offered until now was the iPhone 6 at 6.9mm, this iPhone Air is therefore set to win the prize for the thinnest Apple smartphone ever released. Mark Gurman adds that the device would benefit from a new 5G processor designed by Apple, smaller than the current versions and better integrated with the other components, to fit more easily into this reduced volume device.
