YouTube anti-clickbait fight, initiative soon to be tested in India££££
Well YouTube apparently wants to put an end to this process, especially if the videos are presented as exclusive news flashes, or talking about current events. It is in India that the initiative will start, and in the coming months YouTube will establish strict rules concerning the titles and preview thumbnails of videos. For example, such videos will be removed outright, without the creator even being notified.
YouTube's word££££
"We're strengthening our efforts to combat blatant clickbait on YouTube," Google said. "That means we plan to step up our enforcement against videos whose title or thumbnail promises viewers something the video doesn't deliver. They can leave viewers feeling deceived, frustrated, or even misled, especially when they come to YouTube looking for important or timely information."
