Apple Intelligence the myth?

Apple's AI is being criticized for spreading "fake news" that offers dangerously misleading news summaries.

In early January, the BBC put the Apple Intelligence system in the spotlight to denounce its inability to correctly summarize the news, transforming it purely and simply into fake news.

In detail, the Apple Intelligence system available on certain iPhones and other devices of the brand offers a summary of the latest news in the form of notifications. Entrusted to an algorithm, this kind of benign task should not be complicated a priori, except for Apple Intelligence which literally transforms reality through misleading headlines.

Examples cited, the victory of the world champion of darts Luke Littler before he even played the final of the world championship or, even worse, the coming out of the tennis player Rafael Nadal as homosexual, when in fact, not at all. And this is not the first time that the BBC has caught Apple Intelligence red-handed, since a few weeks ago, a summary announced - wrongly - the suicide of Luigi Mangione, murderer of the CEO of the insurance company United Healthcare in December in New York.

The BBC has asked Apple to correct the situation, so that these errors do not tarnish the credibility of trusted sources of information.
