TV market 2024-2027: 3.3% for OLED, at best

After our news on the global figures for the TV market (see our publication TV Market: forecasts for the period 2024-2027), here are the forecasts for shipments of LCD TV panels and Oled TV panels, still signed by the Chinese market research and analysis company Sigma Intel and still for the period 2024-2027.

The figures shared by Sigma Intel show a significant increase in shipments of [abc]LCD[/abc] + [abc]Oled[/abc] TV panels to 246 million units in 2024, largely reflecting the desire of players linked to the United States to increase their stock as much as possible before Donald Trump comes to power and the announced significant increase in customs duties. On the other hand, a decrease is expected from 2025 to 2028, respectively 245 million, 243.6 million, 240.5 million and 238.7 million, then a slight recovery in 2029 with 239.2 million. Once again, the total surface area of TV panels shipped is expected to grow constantly, a sign of the presence in homes of televisions with ever larger diagonals.
