Samsung G Fold, a three-fold smartphone available in 2025?

The probable name of the very first tri-fold smartphone from Samsung, which would be released no later than this summer, is circulating: the Galaxy G Fold.

Even though Samsung is considered the pioneer of the foldable smartphone, it was Huawei that recently changed the industry by releasing the very first foldable model with three leaves.

There was no question of the Korean, no doubt piqued in its pride, not responding. Especially since it has also been working on this subject for a while. Thus, on the occasion of its recent Unpacked conference, Samsung discreetly mentioned the arrival of such a product via a sketch nonchalantly displayed but not really commented on (see photo below). However, more details were recently given by the Korean leaker yeux1122 (via tweaktown). The device would thus be released in the third quarter of 2025 (certainly alongside the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7), and it would be called the Galaxy G Fold. A name that refers to the G Flex screen, which Samsung demonstrated at the CES 2022 show (see photo above).

Unlike Huawei's "S" fold, the "G" fold completely protects the screen (diagonal close to 10" when the screen is fully unfolded), no portion of which appears in the folded configuration. As a result, if it is not usable when folded back on itself, one wonders if the device will be sold as a tablet rather than a smartphone.
