These functions could however be significantly expanded if we are to believe a patent recently filed by Samsung. The document describes how the ring can control an entire interface on a device such as a laptop or tablet.
With a gesture of the finger, the user can move a cursor, switch between applications and even transfer files between two of these wirelessly connected devices. Naturally, it is difficult to know when, or even if, this functionality will arrive. Perhaps for the next Galaxy Ring planned for summer 2025?
