Oled TV market 2024: LG global leader for the 12th consecutive year

The Korean manufacturer LG is leading the way in 2024 in terms of OLED televisions, particularly in large diagonal models, for the 12th consecutive year.

According to the latest data from Omdia, the global TV market is estimated at 208.83 million units, up 3% compared to 2023, including 6.07 million [abc]Oled[/abc] units, up 8% compared to 2023. The manufacturer LG would have distributed 22.6 million units, [abc]Oled[/abc] and [abc]LCD[/abc] combined (compared to 22.5 million in 2023). Ultimately, the Oled TV segment would represent 2.9% of the TV market.

In the Oled TV market alone, Omdia indicates that LG distributed 3.18 million units (compared to 3 million in 2023), representing a global market share of 52.4% (compared to 53%), making the Korean company the leader in this sector for the twelfth consecutive year. LG is doing particularly well in the segment of Oled televisions with a diagonal of 75'' (191 cm) and more, with a 57.5% market share (compared to 60%) of total distribution. Namely, this large Oled TV market segment would represent 16% of the Oled TV market.

Another figure, Oled televisions represented in 2024 45% of sales of models displayed at +1,500 dollars, an increase of 8.5% compared to 2023. Forecasts mention that this figure should reach 53.8% in 2025.
