According to Chinese "leaker" Instant Digital, all of the back-to-school iPhones, namely the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, will feature an [abc]Oled[/abc] M14 display provided by Samsung Display.
Samsung M14 displays for the iPhone 17 series…££££
As a reminder, until now, only the iPhone Pro and Pro Max had such displays. Samsung's M series is reserved for high-end smartphones, with the number 14 referring to the number of "high-performance" materials used in its production.
The M14 was also found in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, which offers more brightness and a longer battery life compared to the previous M13. This variation on non-Pro models brings consistency to the rumors of the arrival of the ProMotion process on all iPhone 17. The latter notably allows a variation of display frequency between 1 Hz and 120 Hz for greater fluidity and the activation of the Always-On mode (always on) with low consumption.
