iPhone 17 Air, 5.44 mm thick?

We are now down to a hundredth of a millimeter regarding the precision of the rumors about the new ultra-thin iPhone that will arrive next fall.

Leaker MajinBu recently posted an image showing what appears to be a mold for the iPhone 17 Air, still in the rumor stage, with a thickness measurement using a caliper. The result is 5.44 mm, a hair lower than the 5.5 mm previously mentioned, a thinness that could put this model ahead of all other contenders in the "slim" sector.

Indeed, the Tecno company recently revealed the Spark Slim concept model with a thickness of 5.75 mm while the next Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to display 5.84 millimeters. As for the other features of this iPhone 17 Air, the screen would be a 6.6" specimen (approximately 17.8 cm), a diagonal that would be between that of the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro Max.

Also on the program would be a 120 Hz ProMotion screen, the new proprietary 5G Apple C1 chip, an A19 main processor and the [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] 7 functionality. Note also a single 48 Mpxls main sensor and a 24 megapixel selfie camera. Unlike the Pro models, this Air version would have less premium features, its main selling point being its attractive appearance.
