The iPhone 18 range will only be released in a little less than two years, but suppliers have been busy for a while now, and therefore rumors have been pouring in. A few weeks ago, Taiwanese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo already announced major advances in the photo module of the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and the information continues to abound in this direction.
Photo/video sensor signed Samsung for a significant increase in quality££££
It was the Taiwanese media DigiTimes which outbid at the beginning of the year, reporting that Samsung is developing a triple-layer sensor for the iPhone 18 (model not specified). Called PD-TR, this technology would allow the camera to be more responsive, reducing noise in images, increasing the color range and other benefits.

Note that all iPhone camera modules have been supplied by Sony until now and this would be the first time that Samsung would be responsible for this component. It is not yet known which of the lenses would be affected precisely or if the technology would be reserved only for the Pro models.
