Young people addicted to Smart TVs

The trend is confirmed, Smart TVs are becoming the preferred platform for viewing audio-video content.

Advertising agency Freewheel, owned by Comcast, recently conducted a study of 630 million video streaming users aged 16 to 64 in eleven countries. Corroborating another study recently conducted by Ampere Analysis, we learn here that 74% of respondents watch content on smart TVs, at an average of 1 hour and 47 minutes per day.

Half of those surveyed say they watch streaming platforms at least once a month and a third once a week, mainly on Smart TVs. 54% of young people from "Generation Z" (born between 1997 and 2012) say they structure their evenings around the television. A trend that is also returning to other age groups, showing that viewing habits are more uniform than we might think, and that sharing is important: 60% of respondents say they regularly watch content with their families.
