Samsung TV Oled & Mini LED 2025, zoom on the Glare Free 2.0 anti-reflective coating

Following yesterday's World of Samsung 2025 event in Frankfurt, we now know more about the Glare Free 2.0 anti-reflective coating available on three new TV series from Samsung.

Introduced in 2024 on Samsung S95D televisions (click on the Samsung TQ65S95D reference to discover in detail the exhaustive test of the television), the original Glare Free anti-reflective treatment of matte nature is applied as is on the screens of the Mini LED references Samsung QN90F vintage 2025.

Samsung TV Glare Free 2.0 a clear improvement compared to Glare Free TVs££££

The Glare Free 2.0 coating, still matte, unveiled at the CES show in Las Vegas 25 last January on the [abc]Oled[/abc] Samsung S95F TV series, therefore also concerns the two [abc]LCD[/abc] Mini [abc]LED[/abc] [abc]Ultra HD[/abc] [abc]8K[/abc] Samsung QN900F and Samsung QN990F TV series. On the program, a significant and obvious improvement. Significant since Samsung announces reflections down 40% for a Samsung S95F Glare Free 2.0 television compared to a Samsung S95D Glare Free specimen, the latter already offering the lowest reflections ever observed on a TV (see photo below).

Obvious because demonstrated in the Samsung space lit by the ambient light of a beautiful sunny day, the progress is visible to the naked eye. While the screen of a 2024 vintage S95D model offers slightly grayed-out blacks in normal ambient light configuration (in the dark, nothing changes compared to a bright Oled screen), this is not the case for an S95F diffuser. The dynamics of the image of the latter is therefore always perfect, night and day.
