Samsung Galaxy S26 with variable aperture?

A feature last seen in 2019 on a Galaxy S smartphone could make a return next year on the S26 series.

In 2018, Samsung launched the Galaxy S9/S9+ smartphones, which were first equipped with a variable aperture camera lens, meaning you can switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 to choose the amount of light reaching the sensor to adapt to external conditions and adjust the depth of field.

A feature that was found in the Galaxy S10 but which, starting with the following models, the S20 of 2020, will disappear from the range. Those who miss this adjustment convenience can rejoice, however, because the Chinese "leaker" IceUniverse claims that the variable aperture will return next year in the Galaxy S26 smartphones. Another supposed improvement for this 2026 range, the resolution of the 3x telephoto lens will increase to 50 Mpxls against 10 Mpxls previously.
