There have been rumors for a while that a HomePod speaker with a 7" (17.8 cm) LCD screen, an A18 processor, and Apple Intelligence compatibility will arrive this year. A device that would hit production lines this year, according to the latest indiscretions, recently corroborated by Taiwanese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The word from Ming-Chi Kuo££££
He specifies that production will launch in the third quarter of 2025, later than initially planned due to "software issues," particularly around the integration of Apple Intelligence. This HomePod would therefore be released at the earliest at the end of the year, or could be slightly pushed back to early 2026. According to Kuo, the screen will be removable and therefore independent, able to be placed on a base that replicates the functions of a HomePod speaker, or fixed to a wall.
