As already subbodoré in our columns, Sony announces at the beginning of 2025 a total of 10 TV series, including three new ones, the Sony Bravia 8 M2, Sony Bravia 5 and Sony Bravia 3.
3 Mini LED series, 1 QD Oled series, 2 Oled series and 3 LED series££££
You will see, the 2025 TV range looks very similar to that of 2024, with six TV series already present in the brand's catalog in 2024. These are the Sony Bravia 9, Sony Bravia 8, Sony A90K, Sony Bravia 7, Sony X85L and Sony W800. Namely, the QD Oled Sony A95L series remains relevant in 2025, while stocks last.
We already announced it to you last year with the appearance of the Sony Bravia 9 TV series, the brand's premium TV series is no longer the prerogative of Oled technology (and more precisely QD Oled). This is still the case in 2025 with the Sony Bravia 9 Mini LED at the top of the range alongside the Sony Bravia 8 M2 QD Oled, the first of course offering the largest diagonals, up to 85 inches (216 cm). As a reminder, Sony Bravia 9 televisions benefit from a backlighting system developed by a division of the Japanese group, Sony Semiconductor Solutions Group (see our news Sony TV premium 2024, heading for Mini LED to the detriment of Oled?), which appeared in 2024.
Sony K-98XR55, the brand's first Jumbo Mini LED TV££££
Sony is slightly beefing up its TV range in 2025 with a Mini LED series including the large 85" and 98" (249 cm) sizes. But we will have to wait until 2026 to see Sony really invest in the very large diagonal TV segment with the RGB MiniLED TV series announced by the Japanese manufacturer on March 13th (see our news Sony RGB Mini LED TV in 2026, it's official). While waiting for this, the Sony TV 2025 offering includes an additional 85'' reference, the K-85XR55, within the new Sony Bravia 5 series. Also worth mentioning in 2025 is the absence of Oled diagonals beyond 77 inches. We can therefore hope that among the range additions mentioned above for the start of the school year would come a White Oled 83" to complete the Bravia 8 series. Or even the Bravia 8 M2, like the Samsung proposal with its S95F series where QD Oled and White Oled panels coexist (see our news Samsung 2025 TV range: Oled, Mini LED, QLED, Crystal UHD and Lifestyle).
