According to the latest indiscretions gathered by the well-informed Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple will release this year a new [abc]streaming[/abc] box Apple TV, one of the particularities of which will be equipped with the first Wi-Fi chip developed by Apple.
Wi-Fi 7 common for iPhone 17 and Apple TV ?££££
At the same time, other rumors coming from usually reliable Asian sources (Jeff Pu and Ming-Chi Kuo) had announced that the four iPhone 17s of the fall 2025 would all be equipped with a Wi-Fi-7 chip developed by Apple. We deduce that it is this chip that will be integrated into the Apple TV, which will therefore be compatible with Wi-Fi 7, unless Apple restricts this processor.

As a reminder, the current Apple TV 4K released in 2022 is equipped with Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 7 allows data transmission on the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands simultaneously, meaning lower latency, a more reliable connection and increased speed (peak at more than 40 Gbps, four times more than the previous Wi-Fi 6E).
