Mission accomplished for Alain Chabat, conductor of a high-energy series and joke machine that both pays homage to the eponymous comic book by Uderzo and Goscinny, but also manages to breathe a certain modernity into a cult universe. Asterix and Obelix: The Battle of the Chiefs, the animated series by Alain Chabat, is coming out in a few days on Netflix (April 30). Has the miracle we've been waiting for since Mission Cleopatra in 2002 and the two excellent animated films by Alexandre Astier and Louis Clichy happened? We've seen all five episodes.
